The «Funky Fever» series was launched almost 25 years ago in the Bar 57 with Dj Black Virus and experienced – thanks to DJ Murphy – its revival in the Bar 59.
Now Funky Fever has been inviting for almost two decades all Funk and Soul DJs from Switzerland as a guest. Even some international DJs rocked the turntables, such as Tobias Kirmayer (DE), Mr. Thing (UK), Boca 45 (UK), Skeme Richards (US), Amir Abdullah (US), Amerigo Gazeway (US) or Mirko Machine (DE). Another highlights were the performances by the bands «Breakestra» (US), den «Mighty Mocambos» (DE) and the «James Brown Tribute Show».
In recent years, they have also become regular guest DJs at «Funk Addict» in Bristol and other nights hosted by Streets of Soul in Bristol.
The Funky Fever lives the motto «Save The Vinyl» and remains an event for Funk and Soul freaks, for breakdancers, for old school rap lovers and for those who like to move to Black Music. Boom!
